Last night I a bought a book, Hypnotic Writing, by Joe Vitale. I was actually deciding between two books. The other one was titled Ultimate Sales Writing (I think so hehe..). What led me to buy Joe Vitale's book was that I know from his other writings. His title of the book was also hypnotizing as well( it should be..).
The reason I bought it was because I wanted to created a landing page for my google adwords account. Recently, my keywords were deactivated because of poor quality. At first, I was outraged by what had happened! I really thought that nothing was wrong with my landing pages because I got good sales from them. But then, I had to admit that they really were not mine. I just put another website's sales page in one of my html pages as a frame. This technique is actually used to encrypt o cloak the link of your affiliate link. This also is a lazy way to do affiliate marketing as the popular Google Case book states.
However, it seems that Google is getting cleverer and cleverer each day and they were able to determine that that was what I was doing and indeed my landing page was of poor quality because of that (at least based on their standards of landing pages in their guidelines). Now back to the book, it really was and is hypnotizing. The fact that he was using simple words that relate to the emotion of their readers kept me mesmerized and unable to put the book down! He really is able to do what he claims he can.
I haven't finished reading the book but I'll be doing so today! While reading it, I actually made some goals for myself to be able to write hypnotically. Here they are:
- Of course to be able to write hypnotically, I should be able to write in the first place. So my first goal is to blog everyday here! But I'll still stick to the theme of this blog which is basically about my journey in affiliate marketing. Actually that was why I am writing this now. Hypnotic writing is going to help me write my hypnotizing landing pages that would get sales.
- I will rearrange the design of this blog for better readability and more pleasing to the eyes design. It is a bit ugly don't cha think? ;)
- The third one is related to the first goal. From what I have read from Joe's book, we need to let the inner Master Writer within us to be able to write creatively. From now on, I will write like that, that is to write or blog here and let my inner-self write/blog. Let myself flow freely, letting my inner-self break free and express itself like what I am doing so right now.
- Hmmm, can't think of anything else. So I'll stop here. 3 is good enough for starters =).
