Mentors

It has been a while since I last blogged. Had been quite busy researcing and studying internet/affiliate marketing. Just wanted to make sure that I started out right. Anyway, here goes.

My first mentor is actually a schoolmate of mine. He is nicknamed "Nono". He was the one who introduced me to this type of business. What got me interested was that he said that he was making around $300. Per month? Nope. Per week? Nope. But per day. Woah!

I started asking him questions thru Eskwela, a friedster-like filipino-student style site. You can sign-up thru me if you'd like. Just click on this URL [ Phaw's Eskwela ID ].

Going forward, he introduced me to Ewen Chia his mentor. I bought his ebook called Secret Affiliate Weapon for only $10 and internalized it. I then realized that this business was not a 'get rich quick' scheme but something that could really give me residual income online.

Still wanting for more, I went to Powerbooks and bought the book "The E-Code Code" to gain more knowledge of the affiliate business field. Armed with new online financial wisdom, I am now ready to take on the e-business world.

I plan on creating my 'official' blog in the future. I say 'official' because I would be using my name as part of the domain name of the site. Yeah! Will let you know of my progress.

Bye for now!

Review Me to Make Money!

I just discovered this site for bloggers who are out to make money. This website's business is about utilizing bloggers to review and criticize products or services of companies wanting it. Am planning on trying it and giving it a shot.

For site owners doing e-commerce, I believe this would be a good opportunity for you to advertise your products as your site will be recognized as part of the review process.

Smart Bro Chronicles

I started using Smart Wifi(former name of Smart Bro) last year, 2005, around this time of the year. At that time, it was still a fairly new technology(if you call it a technology at all, I'll explain later) in the Philippines and was only months after its birth.

At first, the service was good. I could surf the web, read my mails and do what you normally do on the internet. Then after one week, the true colors of the service hovered to the surface. I experienced intermittent connections and most of the time no connection at all! Since the service was quite new, I thought that this was normal. I then called the "24/7 readily available customer service" of Smart. They answered my questions and "guided" me with their crappy ways to find out the problem and deliver a solution. Since I am a Computer Science graduate, I am quite familiar with computers and sensed that the customer service reps didn't know anything about fixing the connection problems. This went on and on, and almost everyday, I'll be talking with their almost useless customer reps.

Well, I am not here to further destroy their already lousy customer service image but here to tell that their DSL service has improved(not the customer service...). It all began with the 'Milenyo' typhoon. I am not sure how it happened but since that typhoon, everything has been going good. I have got a good connection and I am no longer complaining =)! Fortunately enough, 'Reming' didn't undo any of the good stuff 'Milenyo' brought. Keep on doing this and I won't go on looking for another DSL service.

The Start of the Affiliate Journey

Am now currently buying a domain for my planned website which will host information about the web such as affiliate marketing, websites, web hosting and the likes...

The purpose of the website is to serve as an information portal for people and at the same time works as the landing page for people to my affiliate business links. Am planning to build my residual income(other than my networking business with E.Excel) thru the new(new to me...) internet business hype call affiliate marketing. I believe this business has a lot of potential when done right. Have a mentor who was my collegemate and I think I can learn a lot from him.

This truly will be a challenging but exicting journey for me as business is the way I want to trod to financial freedom (naks!).
