Oprah Chimp Victim Video and After the Attack Photo

Charla Nash, the victim of a chimpanzee attack is doing fine. In spite of her disfigured looks, her spirit is well and she inspires us with her fight to keep alive.

Her story starts with helping a friend retrieve some keys that a chimpanzee had taken. The chimpanzee was owned by Nash's friend. But while trying to retrieve the keys, Charla was attacked by the chimpanzee, the attack was so terrible that it ripped her eyes off, destroyed her nose, and literally erased her lips. Her jawbone was also badly damaged. The chimpanzee also ripped off both her hands. Her friend called 911. The police officer who responded to the call killed the 200-pound chimp.

What can we learn from this? Yes, that life can change in an instant. Wisdom dictates that we should think first before doing anything. I believe if she could turn back time, she would have opted to let professional animal handlers take the keys from the chimpanzee instead of her doing it.
