The Brooks and Dunn break up was surprising to many especially to the music industry. According to the country music duo, they would break up after a farewell tour next year. They also said that this break up was not related to any dispute but was just "timely".

"After 20 years of making music and riding this trail together, we have agreed as a duo that it's time call it a day," they said.

The duo first hit the charts in 1991 and went on to create history by becoming the biggest-selling duo in country music. 22.3 million albums has been sold in the US alone.
